The Best Hotel in Flores, Guatemala

We enjoyed our stay at Isla de Flores Hotel so much. Upon arriving, the staff was friendly and helpful, and knew enough english to help answer our questions.

The lobby of the hotel is inviting and thoughtfully decorated. Fresh water is served and you can sit and enjoy passers by in the "open air" feel of the first floor.

Amenities at Hotel Isla de Flores

There is a restaurant and a bar, both of which were really great. (Try the fruit and yogurt for breakfast! Yum!) However, they definitely charge "tourist" prices, which is still cheaper than anything of equivalent quality in the USA. 

About Hotel Isla de Flores

The hotel is a few stories high and has a tiny rooftop pool and lovely lounge area. There were signs for a rooftop bar but it was not open while we were there. You can order drinks from the bar downstairs and have them delivered to you on the rooftop. The view from the roof of the Isla de Flores Hotel is really beautiful, and we spent a lot of time there during our visit to the island.

The Rooms at Hotel Isla de Flores

The rooms are very clean and very comfortable at Isla de Flores, including the bed on which we slept really really well. I would advise that you bring ear plugs, as the sound of Tuk Tuks and motorbikes in the morning can start pretty early, and the sound of club music can continue rather late. But it doesn't take away from the experience here. The island of Flores is a bustling place, and worth it.

The bathroom, though small, was very clean and the shower had great water pressure. 

There is plenty of storage throughout the room with a huge closet and a dresser. Our room did not have a safe.

We Would Stay at This Hotel Again

If we visit Flores, Guatemala again, I would most definitely choose the Hotel Isla de Flores. In Lake Atitlan and Antigua, we rented from Air B&B, which were less expensive options than a hotel, however, Hotel Isla de Flores is very reasonably priced, especially for the beauty, comfort and service that they provide.

We made our reservation with the Isla de Flores Hotel on Expedia, and had zero problems. As of the date of this blog post, the hotel website is still under construction, but you can check out this beautiful Flores, Guatemala hotel on their Facebook page.
